Staff donated toys at Blemain Group’s Manchester office, which volunteers across the organisation wrapped ready for delivery.  On 20th December, the children had their Christmas gifts delivered to the hospital by a team of employees, bringing some much needed cheer to the wards.

The gift donation is part of a wide range of charity initiatives at Blemain Group, including charity runs and Children In Need, which raise more than £10,000 every year for good causes.

Irene Thomas, Head of Commercial Underwriting at Blemain Group, said:

“There’s no better time than Christmas to give something back and help those less fortunate than ourselves. We were keen to support a local cause, and, for us, the fantastic work of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital made it the obvious choice.

“It can be difficult for children in hospital to get the most out of the festive season.  We hope we have helped to bring a little hope into their lives this year – it was incredibly moving to see the smiles on their faces.”

Jenny Clarke, corporate and individual fundraising manager at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, said:

“Christmas can be a difficult time for children in hospital who have to be away from home, so we’re always so grateful for the generosity of local businesses.  I know Blemain Group’s gifts will be hugely appreciated by the children and their families, and would like to thank them for giving their time and donating their presents this festive season.”
