Chris Parker, Head of Intermediary Sales at The Nottingham, said:

“We know from talking to advisers who use us that they like dealing with The Nottingham because we offer a high quality personal service, but a common concern has been the need to fax or post supporting documents to us. Our new Application Manager system not only provides mortgage brokers with the ability to scan and upload documents quickly and securely, it also gives them a very simple traffic light visual way of indicating whether a case is ‘good to go’ or requires further actions by the adviser before it can be underwritten.

“We believe the new scan and upload system will make a real positive difference to advisers who use us, saving them time and postage costs, and helping us provide a faster turnaround for their clients. The new system also provides real time case progress information showing when the application is being assessed, the valuation has been instructed and received, the mortgage offered, funds requested and the mortgage completed – all key stages that an adviser will be keen to know about without having to phone in for an update. Our team of experts also remain on hand to help brokers with any queries they may have.

“The adviser will also be able to download a copy of their client’s mortgage offer as soon as it has been approved. The latest development is part of a range of initiatives we have planned to improve how we support intermediaries. We will use technology to add value by simplifying basic tasks so that our teams can focus on providing the consistently high quality personal service that we know advisers really value.”

Mike Cook, Academy and Sales Support Director at London & Country Mortgages, said:

“The ability to upload documents is a very welcome addition – The Nottingham is already a great lender to work with and this can only make life easier for us and our clients.”

Dave Stringer, Director at MPC Direct, added:

“I recently had two urgent cases where I had tight deadlines for offers. The Nottingham’s new document upload system meant I could instantly submit all the supporting documents. It was straight forward to use and meant the underwriter was looking at the cases almost immediately. As a result the cases were offered within a week. I am delighted with the service.”
