Developers with a presence on Rightmove can be seen by as many as 10 million home-hunters every month, on one of the UK’s most popular consumer websites.

As part of the new features, Rightmove have introduced a Development Page which allows developers to promote the features and benefits of each site as well as the individual units within it.  It also offers the ability to cross-sell units on the same site or nearby sites to home-hunters searching Rightmove for their next home.

Alex Solomon, Rightmove’s Director of New Homes, comments:

“With over 10m unique home-hunter visits to Rightmove in January alone, property developers are becoming increasingly conscious of the need to make sure their brand and properties stand out on our site. To help them achieve this we have launched a new Development Page – in essence a “microsite” within Rightmove for their developments.”

As the home-hunting process moves more and more online, the influence of Rightmove over the home-moving public is becoming increasingly strong. Google Insights for Search finds that the word “Rightmove” is now a more popular search term than the word “property” in the UK.

This popularity means that Rightmove is today one of the UK’s leading consumer websites, with Hitwise stats for February ranking it as the UK’s 8th busiest site, behind online giants such as Facebook, Google and Amazon.

Solomon adds:

“Rightmove’s extensive online reach makes us a key pillar of the media schedules property developers use to deliver enquiries and ultimately sales. Whether that’s to build their brand, promote a new development or push individual units – Rightmove has the reach and product mix to help developers achieve their online advertising goals.”
