New figures from the UK independent estate agent shows that the annual returns on a typical one, two and three-bedroom property in Brixton are higher than anywhere else.
A buy to let investor purchasing a one-bedroom apartment in Brixton, for instance, would expect a yield of 5.7% per annum whilst a two-bedroom apartment would generate an even healthier 8.9% per annum. A three-bedroom house would generate an even better 9.1% per annum.
Sunny Feridun, Lettings Manager for haart of Brixton explains:
"The area is on the up. It has undergone a real transformation in recent years with lots of new bars and restaurants opening up.
"This in turn has helped to attract tenants with higher budgets as well tenants from neighbouring Battersea, Clapham and Kennington, who may have historically overlooked Brixton.
"There is also a wide choice of housing stock available for people to invest in Brixton. Such is the demand from applicants that in some instances we already have tenants lined up before the investor has exchanged on the property with our estate agent colleagues at haart."
