The main focus this week has been finishing off and submitting the proposal for the Business Finance Partnership scheme which we hope will be successful. We believe the Association and its membership are ideally placed to get this vital funding to SMEs across the UK and get the economy moving in the right direction, so we look forward to the Government’s decision. As soon as we receive further news on the Business Finance Partnership we will notify our members.

I also had the opportunity to look around this year’s venue for the AGM and Gala Dinner, The Park Plaza Hotel in London and I was very impressed with the venue. I am sure that the Park Plaza Hotel will be a fantastic venue to celebrate the 20 years that the Association has spent in the commercial industry and will be a great place to catch up with some old and new faces and to look forward to the coming years.

With the future in mind, we have also been busy at the new offices at Hamilton House in central London. I am pleased to report that the offices are beginning to take shape and the transition from Exeter to London should run smoothly. Hamilton House puts the NACFB at the heart of the UK commercial market and allows us to interact with UK funders and Westminster, so the move will also help to bolster the Association’s profile further and set us on the road to helping to fund UK business.
