Paxman in training

As we leave the chaos of November and the mortgage industry annual Expo, we start to tip toe in to the abyss of December where the phone doesn’t seem to ring and we can all sit bac

This year’s mortgage Expo did seem to have a real buzz about it, a buzz that has not been felt in the halls of Olympia over the last few years.

Maybe everyone is fed up of ‘surviving’ and the general talk is about doing business again with new products and partnerships.

Many of the companies I spoke to have most certainly diversified to survive over the last few years and now find themselves in a much better position to tackle any challenges thrown at them over the next few years.

There was a real strong presence from the Bridging market who are currently attracting a lot of enquiries for B2L and enjoying increased private funding as investors are considering the best place to invest their money.

This year saw the return of the exhibitor’s ball which we were delighted to be sponsoring with our friends at Precise Mortgages, Mortgage Strategy and Mortgage Introducer.

All you need is a great venue, free food, free drinks and it can be very easy to forget that we all have to be back at the expo for a second day.

On the Thursday, myintroducer had the opportunity to do some video interviews at our makeshift TV studio.

I’m certainly no Paxman so I would like to thank Alan Cleary – Precise Mortgages, Mathew Anderson – Fincorp, Gary Sutcliffe – IFS, Ian Fitzpatrick – TrigoldCrystal, Laurence Goodman – Bridgebank Capital, Lorna Toner – Shepherd Friendly and Tomer Aboody – MT Finance for both their time and patience.

All the videos will be uploaded on the site soon and I hope you get the chance to have a good look at them. I think the presenter is a little suspect though!

So the serious conversations from the expo now seem to be temporarily put on hold until all the office parties are over and all the new ideas have been dreamed up over a turkey dinner and several glasses of seasonal drink.

Myintroducer.com continue to develop our own range of products offering not only advertising and PR, but B2C and B2B website development, broker portals, branding and newsletter management.

We are also about to launch our MYI Awards 2012, offering the only awards program in our industry where winners win on votes alone.

As we say goodbye to 2011, I would like to thank all the people we have worked with over the last twelve months and look forward to working with them all in 2012.

Happy New Year!
