The summit aims to highlight the role that property and construction needs to play in the region's economic recovery.

The full day event will bring together a host of experts from politics, property, business and finance to provide a State of the Region report with a special focus on property.

Contributors will explain their aims and aspirations, provide up-to-date information on the latest developments in policy and practice, and debate the current issues vital to the North East.

Jennifer Welch, RICS North Operations Director, said:

"The summit is open to all and will be of particular value to anyone passionate about the region and planning for the future. We have a fantastic line up of speakers who will undoubtedly provide a clear update on the latest thinking in the fields of politics, finance and business."

Kevan Carrick, the summit's chairperson and senior partner at JK Property Consultants, said:

"If you are involved in a property-related job this event will have great value. The RICS Summit is aimed at all professionals working in the land, property and construction sectors who wish to see the bigger picture.

"Whether you operate in the public sector, the private sector, the third sector or all three, the information-packed day will provide much food for thought as you plan ahead and will help you to make informed decisions for the future course of your company or organisation."
