The new service is known as The Business Advisor and brings together a range of specialist advisors to help businesses at all stages in their lifecycle – from setting up a business, funding for growth and advice on how to avoid business failure.

Bev Budsworth, managing director of The Debt Advisor commented:

“In our 11 years of assisting individuals and businesses with debt advice, it became apparent that not all the enquiries we received required insolvency expertise but rather needed help with strategies to improve profitability, implement tools to achieve growth linked with finance to aid the growth.

“To help these businesses, we have built up a portfolio of experts in the fields of refinancing, business growth, legal issues, accountancy, VAT, training and HR to complement our award-winning turnaround and recovery service and help businesses of all shapes and sizes survive and thrive in today’s economy.

“In the current economic climate, the UK has seen banks take an extremely cautious approach to lending and therefore trading conditions worsen.

"However, there are lenders out there who will fund viable and credible businesses in situations where the banks have said no or the client simply cannot provide security or a track record of accounts, etc but they have a sound business plan.

“I believe that in business, there should be a marriage between you and your suppliers but it’s often difficult to know where to turn to and who to trust. The Business Advisor team are dedicated to finding solutions that suit the needs of our clients.”

The Business Advisor is a trading style of The Debt Advisor Ltd which was founded in 2000 and incorporates The Business Debt Advisor Ltd.

To mark its launch, The Business Advisor are chairing series of free seminars with a variety of business partners to introduce company directors to experts who can help their business.

The first seminar is entitled ‘Survival, Funding, Recovery and Growth’ and will take place on 15th September from 4.00pm to 6.30pm at the offices of Lomas and Co in Glossop.

Company directors will hear from FW Capital who manage the £35M North West Fund for Business Loans, Business Finance Solutions who can provide loans of up to £50,000 for companies turned down by banks, Aldermore Bank Plc – “the new kid on the block” for banking who again will lend when banks say no plus Lomas & Co, Chartered Accountants who have steered many clients through turbulent times.
