It already looks like we will see a record number of voters - but if you haven't voted yet, there's still plenty of time!

We asked Matt Tristram, Co-Founder & Director of Loans Warehouse (and 8 time winner!) why the Financial Reporter Awards are so important and why it's vital that you show your support by casting your votes this week.

1. The Concept

I love the Financial Reporter Awards as the concept is the best in the industry - it's not about who sponsors the site or is friends with the editor. With no judging panel, it's simply about how many people in the industry take the trouble to cast their vote and recognise the excellent work that many people in our industry do.

2. Supporting Good Practice

By recognising those who go above and beyond, awards like these help to encourage good behaviour and innovation in our industry. We need to support those who do excellent work and make all of our day-to-day working lives that little bit easier.

3. Appreciating Hard Work

As an industry I believe that we all work incredibly hard, and the best companies deserve to be appreciated. A vote from your peers is a real honour - so help those that really deserve it to stand out and be recognised!

4. Winners' Badges

All winners not only get to attend the lavish awards ceremony and celebrate with a great evening, but also get the trophy and marketing tools to advertise their win to their clients and business partners.

5. History

Did you know, the Financial Reporter Awards started at the height of the credit crunch?  When other publications were trying to save money and largely ignored the industry, the owners of Barcadia Media launched initially as an online only award. Every year since they’ve added and built the event up to the format it is today.

You can visit our Awards mini-site and cast your votes here.

Voting closes on Friday 15th April and the winners will be announced on Tuesday 19th April.
