Gary Wilkinson, who becomes chairman of the Society’s audit and compliance committee, is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial services.
A former finance director at Newcastle Building Society and a divisional director at Alliance & Leicester and Nationwide Building Society, Gary was most recently chief executive at the Leicester based Cambridge and Counties Bank.
Gary said:
“Hinckley & Rugby is my ideal first non-executive director position as I have joined a strong, robust board and organisation that fully upholds the principles of mutuality.”
David Woodward is a Chartered Management Accountant who has held several senior financial positions in the East Midlands, including at Express Dairies. More recently he was finance director at train operator Midland Mainline and coach business National Express.
Currently David is a non-executive director with Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, where chairs the audit committee.
David said:
