This latest evolution of XPLAN aims to provide unified, flexible solutions to help advisers make their businesses more cost-effective. The second release of three for 2015, XPLAN 2.16 is focussed on streamlining processes and delivering greater operational efficiency to support today’s adviser.

A key enhancement for creating process efficiencies is the addition of new valuation data feeds with XPLAN 2.16 offering feeds from Legal & General, Nucleus and Zurich Intermediary Platform. This takes the XPLAN data feed coverage to around 90% of the UK market based on Assets Under Administration. These integrations deliver real time and cost savings for advisers, reducing the burden of administration and eliminating the capacity for human error.

In addition, IRESS has further enhanced the integration with its life and protection comparison service, The Exchange, to include multi-policy. This enables the adviser to carry out multi-policy comparisons from within XPLAN, increasing efficiency for the adviser and allowing them to demonstrate comparable benefits to the client.

Mark Loosmore, UK Executive General Manager (Wealth), IRESS, said:

“Having the right technology in place is key to any successful business model and never more so than for today’s advice practice, with the need to provide a differentiated service as efficiently as possible. Recent adviser research from Investment Trends highlighted this need, with 88%* of advisers seeking integration improvements in their business.

“By bringing together and combining different elements of our own technology and integrated third party providers, we are delivering improved efficiencies for advisers, whatever their size or business structure.

“As we continue to engage with clients regarding the challenges they face through additional regulatory inefficiencies and cost burdens, it is extremely rewarding to see the difference technology can make in their businesses. The 11.1 release of Adviser Office has been extremely well received by clients and we believe this latest version of XPLAN also offers improvements in operational efficiency.”
