The Society has enlarged and strengthened its team which serves mortgage brokers to meet growing demand from borrowers using mortgage introducers.
Two new National Intermediary Development Managers have now been appointed – Karen Bowman for the North and Mark Collar for the South.
Both will report to Louisa Sedgwick, Head of Intermediary Distribution, and in addition to leading a team of six regional Business Development Managers, each also will manage some corporate accounts.
Karen joins Leeds Building Society after extensive experience in the intermediary sector – at Lloyds Banking Group, as National Sales Manager for Platform and most recently as a Broker for MAB.
Mark was previously Corporate Accounts Manager, having joined the Society a year ago from Defaqto, after roles with Santander and Mortgage Express.
Louisa Sedgwick said:
“I’m really pleased to have filled the new posts quickly and have the strengthened team in place.
“We have listened to feedback from brokers as we reviewed our intermediary proposition and have restructured and invested in our team to enable us to continue to react, innovate and improve the service we offer to our intermediary partners.
“Our lending through intermediaries is growing, as part of a strong performance so far this year, and we have the appetite to increase this further.”
Earlier this month, the Society announced it had increased procuration fees for directly authorised intermediaries to bring these level with fees for appointed representatives and in line with similar fees in the market.
