The direct helpline number is free to anyone who has questions about how the MCD legislation may affect them before it comes into effect on 21st March.

David Golder, Managing Director of the Consumer Credit Centre, commented:

“Sadly, there is still very little experienced support available to firms which have already moved between OFT and FCA regimes and are now required to meet the demands of the MCD. At the SimplyBiz Group, we have helped over 3,500 firms achieve FCA authorisation, leaving us well-placed to provide help and advice to new and existing clients.

“At a recent round of SimplyBiz compliance workshop, I spoke to many individuals who were concerned about which permissions they needed to meet the requirements of the MCD.  Some were worried they had left it too late, whilst others had applied for permissions unnecessarily, wasting both time and money for all concerned.

“The MCD authorisation helpline a is free service, available to anyone affected by the MCD legislation, which will provide callers with answers  to their queries and put them  back in control of their regulatory journey.”
