The awards program, created by Front Events, who also organise the successful Financial Services Expo shows, was launched this year in association with Mortgage Advice Bureau.

The National Mortgage Adviser Awards was open to all advisory firms across the country and allowed any business, regardless of size, to nominate themselves as an example of excellence in the advice market. There are awards for individual geographic regions of the UK, as well as three specific categories – best specialist firm, best protection firm, and best use of technology.

The finalists, all of which fought off fierce competition in each category, were decided by a panel of judges including David Robinson of Accord, Brad Fordham of Santander for Intermediaries and Ian Andrew of Nationwide; and Front Events MD James Prosser says he is ‘delighted’ with the number of applications.

He said: “It’s incredibly encouraging to see the sheer volume of firms applying to the NMA Awards, because it means there are advice firms all across the country who are striving to provide the best service for their clients – which can only be good news for the industry. We launched this awards program with the aim of celebrating those firms who go that extra step, and hopefully encouraging healthy competition amongst the intermediary community.”

To see a list of finalists, please visit www.nma-awards.co.uk  - each of the three firms selected per category will be invited to the National Mortgage Adviser Awards Ceremony, which will take place during the FSE London exhibition at Old Billingsgate on 13th September, where the winners will be announced.

James Prosser continued:

“We look forward to recognising the best and brightest businesses in our industry at what promises to be a very exciting day in London. Every single one of the finalists wholeheartedly deserves their place, and with application numbers so high it’s been a real task for our judges.

“I’d like to thank Mortgage Advice Bureau for their partnership in the first ever NMA Awards, and in particular CEO Peter Brodnicki, who has been instrumental in making the awards happen.

"Of course I must also thank our judges, who worked tirelessly to narrow down our list of finalists, and huge congratulations go to all those finalists -  we look forward to announcing the first ever winners on 13th September!”
