The firm now holds full permissions for regulated mortgages, consumer credit broking, debt counselling and debt adjusting.

This application has gone from inception to completion in just 3 months, thanks to the knowledge and efficiency of the Norton compliance team, headed by Julie Gregory.

“We now hold all the required permissions,” says Julie. “Moving forward we intend to also become authorised for regulated buy-to-let finance, to ensure that we are still offering the widest range of products to our clients.”

Norton submitted their initial application for full permissions in March 2015, and was assigned a case worker from the FCA on 29th June. “To be able to get full authorisation in just three months is great,” says Julie. “We would like to thank our case officer for all his help and hard work.”

Director Paul Stringer celebrates the Variation of Permissions, commenting:

“The Norton Group has been authorised by the FCA for several years in relation to our 1st mortgage business. This has meant our variation of permissions to conduct 2nd charge and consumer credit business has been fairly quick and straight-forward. It’s great to now be directly authorised by the FCA to carry out our full range of credit activities in the future.”
