The Guide entitled, ‘Using Social Media Successfully’, will help advisers who are looking to become more active in social media offering them information on the reasons why they should be involved, the potential benefits for their business and the compliance issues to be navigated.
Importantly it also takes advisers through the process of developing a social media strategy – setting desired outcomes, benchmarking, identifying key influencers, tracking performance – as well as the questions to ask on what specific social media to use, how to put the strategy into action and how to generate content in order to improve interactivity.
The Guide aims to de-mystify the use of social media and provide practical support and advice on the methods advisers can use in order to deliver compelling content and to ensure the social media strategy is aimed in the right direction and is hitting its targets.
Derek Bradley, CEO of Panacea Adviser, said:
“Providing our Panacea members with information and support on how to get the most out of social media continues to be an ongoing priority for us. This is why we have developed and published this free Social Media Guide in order to spell out the potential benefits, the compliance issues to understand and how best to maximise activity.
“We fully appreciate that time constraints often make social media use feel like a ‘nice to have’ rather than a ‘must have’ for many, however it’s fair to say that those who continue to ignore the power of social media are likely to be making a sizeable mistake – one that could affect the longevity of their business.
“This is why we want to ensure our Panacea members have all the information and tools at their disposal in order to be able to put an effective strategy in place quickly and to be able to set and measure their objectives going forward.
“Our recent event on Social Media will not be our last however in the meantime members can use the Guide to get up and running and we now also have our collaboration with Advisertech for those who are looking for more structured guidance in this area.
“Use of social media is only likely to increase and therefore advisers need to engage with the medium sooner rather than later. Panacea’s Better Business section also has a vast amount of information and guidance, and therefore advisers really have no excuses for not getting involved and hopefully benefiting from the communication revolution that is happening right now.”
