"In less than two weeks we’ll be bringing the entire financial services community together for FSE Manchester and we are pleased to announce a full seminar programme covering a number of hot topics"

FSE Manchester will be held once again at The Emirates – Old Trafford, overlooking the pitch at the Lancashire County Cricket Club on Wednesday 17th May and will provide visitors with access to over 60 exhibitors including lenders, distributors, networks, insurance providers, technology companies, and many more.

The seminar programme which has been put together by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI), and media partner, Financial Reporter, will begin at 10.15 am. The sessions on the day are:

Mortgage panel debate – Louisa Sedgwick of Vida Homeloans, Adrian Moloney of One Savings Bank, Rob Jupp of Brightstar Financial and Gary Bailey of Together, debate the major mortgage issues.

Later life lending/equity release challenges - Adam Carnall of Age Partnership and Dean Mirfin of Key Retirement tackle the growth area of both later life lending and equity release, outlining how advisers can work to help clients in these sectors.

The challenges for the Private Rental Sector and buy-to-let – Liz Syms of Connect for Intermediaries and David Whittaker of Mortgages for Business looks at the changes in the PRS, and the challenges facing landlords.

The UK economy, housing and mortgage markets – Robert Sinclair, Chief Executive of AMI, provides a view on the current and future landscape for the UK economy, plus he will review the direction of travel for the FCA post-General Election.

Alongside its full seminar programme, FSE Manchester will be offering a range of exhibitors covering the full breadth of the financial services market. Exhibitors attending FSE Manchester include lenders such as One Savings Bank, Nationwide for Intermediaries/The Mortgage Works, Together, Vida Homeloans, Paradigm Mortgage Services, Metropolis Surveying Services, and In Partnership.

FSE Manchester provides a range of networking opportunities for all attendees, plus they can earn valuable CPD hours whilst enhancing their advice proposition.

James Prosser, Managing Director of Front Events, organisers of FSE Manchester, commented: “In less than two weeks we’ll be bringing the entire financial services community together for FSE Manchester and we are pleased to announce a full seminar programme covering a number of hot topics. Given that the exhibition takes place in the middle of the General Election campaign, many will be wondering how the result might shape the future for our industry particularly in a ‘Brexit world’. Robert Sinclair of AMI will be providing his view on where our market and the broader economy sits, and looking at what the regulator might do next given the political upheaval that is on its way.

On top of this, we have a range of industry big-hitters providing their thoughts on the current state of the mortgage market, plus we are covering a number of sectors which are constantly hitting the headlines. First up, we will review what is happening in the later life lending/equity release markets – sectors which appear to be growing significantly in terms of client demand and lender/provider activity, plus we will be digesting the many changes impacting the buy-to-let market and how the private rental sector and landlords might respond to such changes.

With the seminar programme, our range of exhibitors and the opportunity to network, we believe the 17th May provides advisers in the North West with the perfect opportunity to develop their propositions. Registration is open and we look forward to seeing all our attendees and exhibitors at The Emirates – Old Trafford, for what promises to be a very thought-provoking and informative day.”
