The Cambridge appoints new Head of Risk

The Cambridge Building Society has appointed Victoria Stubbs as Head of Risk to help boost its impressive growth and improve the service offered to customers.

Victoria is a skilled risk and compliance leader, with experience and understanding of both conduct and prudential issues. She has a wide range of expertise in providing leadership on business assurance and her proficiencies include building strong relationships with key stakeholders and excellent people management skills. Victoria will be a member of the Executive team and is responsible for ensuring that The Cambridge Building Society continues to maintain its balance sheet strength and treat customers fairly.  

An experienced Financial Services Authority supervisor with a background in banking, Victoria was involved in the FSA’s work on PPI and the early roll out of the Treating Customers Fairly framework.  Victoria holds an Investment Management Certificate and is a qualified financial advisor.  Her most recent experience as a Director at VMS Management involved providing risk management and compliance consultancy to financial services companies across East Anglia.

After graduating from Cambridge University Victoria began her career as a Graduate Trainee at the Bank of England, and has continued to work in management roles at established financial organisations such as Abbey and Insight Investment.
