Belmont Green to launch as Vida Homeloans

New challenger mortgage lender Belmont Green has confirmed that it will trade as Vida Homeloans when it launches into the intermediary mortgage market later this year.

The business was founded by David Tweedy, former Managing Director of Platform Home Loans, and Guy Batchelor, previously Managing Director of Corporate Business at Countrywide.

Belmont Green recently moved into new offices in Staines-upon-Thames and is currently recruiting to build a new mortgage lending business which will work exclusively with intermediary partners to target under-served sections of the UK mortgage market.

The lender recently appointed former Bank of Ireland Director, Michael Cook, as Director of Products and Customer Proposition and former Leeds Building Society Head of Intermediary Distribution, Louisa Sedgwick, as Director of Sales - Mortgages.

CEO David Tweedy, said:

“We can confirm that Belmont Green Finance Limited has registered ‘Vida Homeloans’ as a trade mark and is developing the brand for use in the intermediary mortgage market.

“We are also continuing to undertake extensive research amongst intermediaries and customers to identify the product and service requirements of key segments of the UK mortgage market.”
