Furness BS champions brokers in new campaign

Furness Building Society has today launched a new campaign championing mortgage brokers.

The Society’s Trust Your Broker campaign includes a new microsite which aims to answer common consumer questions about brokers and prepare them for meetings.

The campaign hopes to reach both consumers and intermediaries and will run throughout January 2017.

Sue Heron, Marketing and Sales Director, at Furness Building Society, said: “Such a large proportion of our business is received through this sector but research told us that some consumers still aren’t sure about why and how to use a broker. This is where Trust Your Broker was born.

“We remain committed to customers who come to the society directly. We have a strong high street presence in the form of our branches and a central contact centre within our head office. We believe that consumers looking for a deal with Furness will continue to find us to benefit from our excellent service. However, we recognize that many people are now looking to seek a broker, and we’d like to help those people also.

“We’re a mutual building society with a traditional model but understand we need to take a modern approach when reaching out to people and helping them find what they’re looking for.”
