"We are really looking forward to working in partnership with the brokers of Northern Ireland and have an appetite to grow our lending to their customers."

NatWest will offer Northern Ireland mortgage brokers exactly the same proposition, lending criteria and policy as it does to intermediaries in England, Wales and Scotland.

Earlier this week it ran two launch events in the region, attended by over 200 brokers, to present the key elements of its proposition with specific focus on its products, lending criteria and processes.

Graham Felstead, Head of Intermediary Mortgages, NatWest Intermediary Solutions, said: “We have had a fantastic reaction from those that attended these two events as it’s seen as a positive move for brokers in Northern Ireland. We are well placed to support the future growth and sustainability of mortgage lending in the province. Brokers will receive an enhanced overall service and a bespoke proposition offering them greater choice and flexibility in addressing their customers’ mortgage requirements.

“We are running a programme of over 20 workshops in May and June where our BDMs will be going through the key aspects of our proposition in detail. We are really looking forward to working in partnership with the brokers of Northern Ireland and have an appetite to grow our lending to their customers.”
