Natwest to cut high LTV resi and BTL broker deals

NatWest Intermediary Solutions has announced that from tomorrow it will be reducing rates on a number of higher LTV residential mortgages including first-time buyer deals, and a selection of buy-to-let mortgages.

Its 2 year fixed rate, 90% LTV, £995 product fee deal will reduce by 41bps from 2.91% to 2.50%; the 2 year fixed rate, 90% LTV, £0 product fee deal will be cut 47bps from 3.45% to 2.98%; and its 2 year fixed rate (Help to Buy: mortgage guarantee scheme), 95% LTV, £0 product fee deal will decrease by 45bps from 4.24% to 3.79%.
 
And for its first-time buyer only mortgages there will be a 45bps cut on its 2 year fixed 90% LTV, £0 product fee deal from 3.39% to 2.94% and a 49bps cut on its 5 year fixed rate 90% LTV £0 product fee deal from 4.09% to 3.60%.
 
Mark Bullard, Head of Sales, NatWest Intermediary Solutions said: “We have long supported first-time buyers and home buyers with smaller deposits with a good range of appropriate mortgages, that includes the Government’s Help to Buy schemes. The changes we are introducing provide further evidence of our commitment to this important sector of the mortgage market.”

2 year fixed rate deals
£995 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 41bps from 2.91% to 2.50%
£0 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 47bps from 3.45% to 2.98%
 
3 year fixed rate deals
£995 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 20bps from 3.31% to 3.11%
£0 product fee:
60% LTV increasing by 4bps from 2.52% to 2.56%
90% LTV decreasing by 20bps from 3.78% to 3.58%
 
5 year fixed rate deals
£995 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 20bps from 3.63% to 3.43%
£0 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 24bps from 4.13% to 3.89%
 
Residential – First-time buyer purchase only
2 year fixed rate deal
£0 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 45bps from 3.39% to 2.94%
5 year fixed rate deal
£0 product fee:
90% LTV decreasing by 49bps from 4.09% to 3.60%
 
Residential – Help to Buy: mortgage guarantee scheme
2 year fixed rate deal
£0 product fee:
95% LTV decreasing by 45bps from 4.24% to 3.79%
95% LTV decreasing by 28bps from 4.89% to 4.61%
 
Buy-to-let – purchase and remortgage
2 year fixed rate deal
£1,995 product fee:
60% LTV decreasing by 4bps from 2.22% to 2.18%
70% LTV decreasing by 3bps from 2.57% to 2.54%
5 year fixed rate deal
£1,995 product fee:
70% LTV decreasing by 3bps from 3.82% to 3.79%
