The mortgage and protection round table entitled, ‘Post-MMR – how does the landscape look now?’ will allow mortgage brokers to hear from Paradigm and a range of lenders and providers about how they anticipate the new environment panning out and the opportunities available within the intermediary sector.

The event will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Solihull on Tuesday 13th May with an exclusive presentation from Santander about its MMR experiences and its plans for the future, plus Paradigm will be offering its view on how the rest of 2014 could go for the mortgage market.

Paradigm runs regular round tables for directly authorised advisers – this will be the fourth event of 2014 – and as well as introducing its brand new protection proposition, Paradigm Protect, there will be representatives from a varied array of lenders and providers including Ageas, Exeter Family Friendly, Legal & General, Skipton Intermediaries, Santander and Virgin Money.

The event is open to all directly authorised mortgage, protection and financial advisers and begins with registration and coffee from 9.15am. All attendees can earn structured and unstructured CPD points by attending.

Bob Hunt, Chief Executive of Paradigm Mortgage Services, said:

“This Paradigm round table event at the National Motorcycle Museum is the first to take place in the new MMR world. There is an ongoing sense of anticipation, and perhaps trepidation, about what the new rules mean for the mortgage market particularly in the short-term and we wanted to ensure we held an event as close to the handover as possible.

Next week we will be reflecting on the first few weeks of MMR, how it has been implemented and the experiences of brokers, their clients and the lenders. Paradigm will be offering our own take on MMR and how brokers can benefit and we are pleased to say that Santander will also be sharing its experiences and what it has meant for the business. As is customary at our events we will also be presenting attendees with access to a variety of lenders and providers who will be discussing their propositions with them as they look to grow existing and new relationships.

This promises to be a very timely look at the new mortgage landscape and I’m sure advisers will be keen to share their views and experiences with us and all the lenders present. Paradigm will be feeding this back to all lenders on our panels in order to help with the MMR transition process.”
