Wales' biggest building society emerged top in its category in the FT Adviser Online Service Awards - which asks Independent Financial Advisers across the UK to vote on levels of online service across a range of different criteria, including ease of transaction, reliability, personal contact and levels of support, as well as overall functionality and site design.

The Society's outstanding online service to advisers in the last 12 months also led to them being awarded ‘Most Improved Lender' of the last year.

Independent Financial Advisor Gwyn Bartley-Forsyth of Simply Mortgages in Bangor said:

"It does not surprise me that they have achieved such a high accolade. We have supported Principality over the last 13 years and they have continually impressed us with their flexibility, service and competitive product range."

Peter Owen, Head of Member Services at Principality Building Society, said:

"It's fantastic that we have been recognised as the top performing lender within our industry - an independent measure that we are getting it right. At Principality we have always maintained a clear aim to offer products and services to the ‘whole of market' via a multi channel approach and  the IFA community remains an important part of this mix.

"We are committed to developing strong, professional relationships within and beyond the boundaries of Wales and we continuously look to improve our service to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience."
