Vic Jannels, Chairman, AToM, said:

“The AToM brand has been ‘work in progress’ for the last 20 years and has grown into the animal it is today through sheer hard work and dedication in both good times and bad.

"It is now time for me to hand over the day to day management and control of the business to a younger set who can continue to mould and grow the business over the next generation.”

Dale Jannels, currently Sales & Marketing Director will become Managing Director with overall responsibility for performance of the AToM business.

Dale said:

“I am really looking forward to this new challenge. Our sector of the market has had a great resurgence recently and our Complex Prime proposition is very popular.

"We have a great team and working closely with them, I hope we will continue to keep AToM at the forefront of the specialist packager/distributor sector.”

The regulated activity at AToM will be under the control and management of board member Tim Henson, in addition to his current role as the company's Governance Director.

Vic commented:

“Tim is a highly regarded industry professional who continues to deliver the highest level of management and control to the AToM business. The strength of this pairing is fundamental to the on-going success of the business.”

Vic and wife Sheila started the business late in 1991 and within a few short years realised that the specialist and packaging market would be their area of expertise.  In 2000 Vic helped found, direct and eventually chair PMPA, the first packaging alliance, and was an AMI board member for 7 years.

Vic added:

“My career in mortgages started in 1972 as a BDM with Provincial Building Society, becoming a branch manager in the City of London.  Other appointments included a senior mortgage appointment within Citibank.

"My career has not been boring and I still do get a kick out of seeing customers getting what they want with a minimum of fuss.  Not always easy in this current environment!  Looking ahead, the business will now be run by a younger team who are probably more attuned to the fast moving environment in which we are embroiled."

The administration function will be managed by Neal Jannels who also runs Horsham Business Services which, as part of the AToM group, provides Website Design and Management for Financial Services Businesses and other sectors.

Sheila Jannels will retain control of the finances of the business in her current directorship role.

Vic said:

"I am not retiring just yet and will remain chairman of the business, at least for the next year or so, and will still be instrumental in talking to lenders and other interested stakeholders in the mortgage sector seeking the delivery of exclusive products and service for both intermediary and direct customers alike."
