Savills Private Finance and First4Bridging were shortlisted by the committee earlier this month, and are now official members of the AOBP Executive Committee, bringing the panel up to 12 members.
A spokesperson from Savills Private Finance said:
“We are delighted to be a part of the AOBP Executive Committee and we are looking forward to expanding our profile and getting more involved in bridging finance in the upcoming year.”
The existing members of the committee decided that it was time to expand their panel as a result of the significant surge in membership that the Association has experienced of late.
Over the last three months, the AOBP have received over 200 applications from prospective associates, as well as a number of requests from affiliates and master brokers wishing to join the executives.
After much deliberation, a unanimous vote by the committee confirmed that the two new members of the panel would be SPF and First4Bridging. Both will have the opportunity to play a key role in the future activities of the Association.
In lending their expertise and stature in the industry to the organisation they will contribute to its ever-growing success.
AOBP members are currently in communication with financial authorities, so as to increase transparency and understanding within the sector and to raise standards. They are also in the process of creating innovative official documentation, which will be used to both educate and inform the public and brokers about the short-term finance industry.
