He will succeed Natanje Holt, Managing Director at Dunstan Thomas who has now completed her term of office.

The self-proclaimed ‘pensions guy’, Jamie Jenkins is well known for expressing his views on how to encourage people to save for their retirement, particularly through auto enrolment and workplace pensions. Jamie has been working in the industry for over 25 years in a variety of roles including operations, client management, marketing, policy and strategy.

David Dalton-Brown, Director General of TISA said:

“Firstly I would like to thank Natanje Holt for her outstanding work to help TISA develop a policy and strategy on the changes needed if we are to improve the financial wellbeing of people in retirement.

“We are in an exciting period of change for the pension landscape in the UK. But we know we still face a major challenge if we are to avoid a tipping point in 2035 when for the first time in nearly 100 years a generation will retire less well-off than the previous one.

“I am therefore delighted that Jamie Jenkins has agreed to lead our Retirement Policy Council at this crucial time. Jamie is already a key member of the working group that is developing our Savings & Investments Policy project response to the pension tax relief consultation. He is the ideal person to help TISA continue to articulate pan-industry proposals and solutions aimed at helping people to achieve better financial outcomes in retirement.”

Jamie Jenkins commented:

"I'm looking forward to taking the Retirement Policy Council on the next stage of its journey, both helping to formulate policy and providing a forum where, together with regular guest invitees, members can keep up to date with latest industry developments."
