The company’s unique joint venture business model uses crowdfunding to raise the capital to purchase properties, while negating all finder’s fees usually associated with property investment companies. By cutting out the banks and money-grabbing middle men, The House Crowd’s investors achieve a minimum annual return of 6% per annum, as well as 50% of their pro rata net profit upon sale of the property.

With £1 million of investment achieved, The House Crowd has already began breathing life into 15 distressed and uninhabitable properties, all of which will produce high rental yields after purchase and costs of high quality refurbishment.

With Britain in the midst of an affordable housing crisis comparable to that of the early post-war years, The House Crowd is doing its bit to support Communities Minister Don Foster’s campaign to revitalise the estimated 1 million empty homes in Britain.

Frazer Fearnhead, Founder and Managing Director at The House Crowd, comments:

“We’re delighted to have reached £1 million of investment, I believe it is a testament to the uniqueness of our proposition. Our revolutionary approach to property investment enables our investors to receive the high returns only professional property investors could previously achieve. We have no fees or hidden charges and, whilst our ethos is to hold property for the long term, unlike traditional property investment, investors have the opportunity to liquidate their shares and have their capital returned at the end of every 12 month period.

“Feedback has shown that investors appreciate the fact that our approach to property investment is enabling us to have a direct and positive social impact on the communities we purchase within, refurbishing properties which would otherwise form part of Britain’s staggering empty homes statistic.”

With a wealth of experience in property investment, The House Crowd is able to gain access to empty properties that are for sale at well below market valuation, as well as having access to expert teams who can refurbish the houses achieving an immediate uplift in value. This methodology ensures investment growth is not reliant or directly linked to an uplift in the housing market.

Following on from achieving a £1 million milestone within its first year of operation, The House Crowd expects its rate of growth to continue and go from strength to strength over the next 12 months.
