First CHL staff complete NSAFS leadership & management programme

CHL is offering its members of staff access to this major training programme which is aimed at those employees who have either been leading teams and would benefit from greater awareness of leadership principles to enhance their management skills, or are likely to be managing people in the near future.

The programme covers four key areas of management: planning change and the communications process, problem solving and decision making, assessing performance, and people motivation at work.

The nine members of staff who successfully completed the programme are:

- Nicola Beck (Exit Strategy Supervisor);
- Andrew Smith (Senior Arrears Consultant);
- Julie Lamb (Arrears Consultant);
- Cathy Bentley (Arrears Consultant);
- Sandra Cawsey (Property Sales and Maintenance Supervisor);
- Michelle Sheldon (Customer Service Administrator);
- Paul Wilson (Lettings Specialist);
- Dragana Williams (Customer Service Administrator);
- Rosheen Dalmond (Lettings Specialist).

At a recent presentation, held at CHL’s Head Office, seven of the successful graduates were presented with their Certificates by NSAFS CEO, Sylvia Perrins, Leadership, Bob Young, CHL Managing Director, and NSAFS Regional Development Manager, Trevor Child.

Bob Young, Managing Director at CHL Mortgages, commented:

“To see the first of our staff successfully completing the Leadership and Management Programme and being awarded with their certificates of achievement is particularly satisfying for me personally and for the entire CHL management team. 

"We are absolutely committed to offering our staff access to a variety of courses and training programmes which improve their skill set and help them to progress further along their chosen career path. 

"We have found that this programme is an ideal route for skills development for employees new to a supervisory or management role or aspiring to such a role, and it’s also suitable for more experienced staff who benefit from formal management training. 

"Those who are first to complete the Leadership and Management Programme have been particularly positive about the course, its benefits and what they have got out of it. 

"We fully anticipate that these nine individuals will be the first of many CHL employees to take advantage of this opportunity and we expect to be holding more certificate presentations over the months and years ahead.”
