Coventry Building Society is the latest lender to be added to Mortgage Brain’s Submissions Brain platform.
Coventry joins Halifax, Nationwide, Santander for Intermediaries, TSB, Accord Mortgages, and Leeds Building Society as the seventh lender on Submissions Brain, with more lenders planned for later in the year and into 2026.
The Submissions Brain module offers a standardised decision in principle (DIP) form covering all lenders who subscribe to the service.
Submissions Brain allows brokers to capture and submit client data for residential mortgages to UK lenders using a single, standardised form and in many instances the lender will automatically return a decision directly via Submissions Brain. Development is already underway to expand this capability to buy-to-let applications.
Submissions Brain can be used in three ways:
• As a standalone module, via the Mortgage Brain Hub. Any broker can register with the Mortgage Brain Hub, safely store their lender credentials and submit DIPs directly.
• Via CRM Brain, Mortgage Brain's new cloud-based CRM system, offering a seamless integration for all users of CRM Brain to submit directly to lenders with no or limited re-keying.
• Through an API integration with third-party CRM systems. Mortgage Brain is making its technology available to intermediary firms directly to allow anyone to connect to the underlying pipework.
Kevin Purvey, director of mortgage distribution at Coventry Building Society, commented: “We’re really pleased to be joining this platform, making it even easier for brokers to work with us. Having everything in one place saves valuable time and removes a lot of paperwork – which means brokers can focus on supporting their clients. Once brokers have their decision in principle in place, they can come straight to our intermediary website to complete the application, making it a smooth, simple process.
“Brokers can use it for residential applications right away, and we’ve already started on the work to get it rolled out to buy-to-let cases soon. It’s another step forward in giving brokers the tools and support they need.”
Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain, added: “It has been great to have worked so closely with Coventry Building Society, working in collaboration to genuinely create a solution that works for everyone. Brokers have told us that existing solutions do not always deliver the benefits that they expect - taking time to understand these frustrations whilst also working to ensure that lenders can meet their own commercial and operational targets has been truly exciting.
“We were delighted to showcase the new Submissions Brain module last week and are delighted that Coventry Building Society is the first new lender, added to compliment those lenders that have worked closely with us to deliver this new streamlined journey. We look forward to further announcements in the coming weeks, and working with the team at Coventry Building Society to showcase the benefits of this solution to thousands of their intermediary customers.”
