The finalists of the 2026 Financial Reporter Women’s Recognition Awards (WRAs) have been revealed, spanning 28 categories from mortgage advice and protection to specialist lending and technology.
The judging panel, made up of experts from across the sector, produced this year’s shortlist following a record number of nominations and applications.
The ninth annual WRAs, proudly supported by L&C Mortgages as headline partner, continue to celebrate the achievements of women and businesses across the sector, as well as those whose EDI advocacy and initiatives are making an impact.
The central theme in 2026 is ‘50 years forward’, exploring the progress that can be made in mortgages and financial services over the next 50 years to become a more equitable, diverse and inclusive industry for everyone, and how these possibilities can be turned into reality.
This year sees the first finalists in the new Mentor of the Year category, designed to highlight those who are using their knowledge and expertise to support up-and-coming women in the industry. Rising Star has also been split into two categories: one for advisers and one for providers, to give sufficient space for the industry’s next generation of changemakers to shine.

Amy Loddington, communications director at the WRAs’ parent company, Barcadia Media, said: "We are thrilled to announce the finalists of the Women’s Recognition Awards 2026, once again showcasing the remarkable achievements of those who are setting the example across mortgages and financial services.
"As we look at how to enact actionable change in our industry over the next 50 years, seeing a record number of nominations for this year’s awards was a reminder of the thousands of women and businesses already making a difference today, every day.
"We are also very proud to continue working with our headline sponsor, L&C Mortgages, for the third consecutive year. Their support is key to making these awards a space from which we can drive industry change.
"A big thank you to our judges, who have had a difficult job with such a high level of applicants, and congratulations to all this year’s finalists - we can’t wait to see you at the Awards in October!"
