Gen H has appointed Laz Doel as key account manager, a newly created role focused on strengthening the lender's relationships with its broker partners.

Doel joins Gen H from mortgage and protection advice firm Moneysprite, where he spent 10 years as a mortgage and protection broker, advising clients on residential mortgages, remortgages and protection.

Having worked as a broker himself for over a decade, Doel's perspective will strengthen how Gen H builds relationships with its key broker firms.

Sara Palmer, chief distribution officer at Gen H, said: "Laz brings over a decade of invaluable hands-on broking experience to this role, and that perspective is exactly what our key broker partners will value. As we continue to grow, having someone who has sat on the other side of the desk will mean we have a better grasp of the broker experience than ever before. We are thrilled to have Laz join us."

Laz Doel commented: "Having spent so much of my career advising clients directly, I know how much a lender's support can shape a broker's ability to create the best possible outcomes for their clients. I'm looking forward to building on the relationships Gen H already has with its key partners and making sure they get the service and access they need."
