Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Cain Lam as business development manager within its specialist mortgages team.
Lam will support brokers across London, working with intermediary partners on complex buy-to-let and specialist property investment cases. He succeeds Joseph Lethbridge, who has moved into a London key accounts role within the specialist mortgages team.
Lam joined HTB in 2024 as a loan administrator and has since progressed through a number of lending roles, including loans officer, loyalty lending manager and senior loyalty lending manager.
Danny Kiely, head of sales, specialist mortgages and bridging finance at HTB, said: "Cain's appointment reflects the strength of talent we've built within our business and our commitment to developing colleagues who understand what matters most to brokers.
"He brings extensive specialist lending expertise, alongside a strong understanding of what brokers need when they're placing more complex cases. Combined with his relationship-led approach, that makes him a natural fit to support our intermediary partners across London.
"Joseph has done an excellent job supporting brokers across London, and I'm looking forward to seeing both him and Cain build on that success in their new roles."
Cain Lam commented: "I'm delighted to be taking on the role of Business Development Manager and working more closely with brokers across London.
"Working across a range of lending roles has given me a strong understanding of specialist lending and the challenges brokers are helping their clients navigate. I'm looking forward to building on that experience by supporting brokers with the complex cases they're placing.
"I'm excited to work alongside brokers across London, helping them find solutions for their clients and building the long-term relationships that are such an important part of how we work at HTB."
