Buy-to-let lender, Landbay, has launched a new telephone sales team, led by telephone sales manager, Jon Braddick.

Landbay said the team has been created to provide additional sales support to brokers and its own business development managers, with a focus on communication, pipeline management and engagement.

The team will work with both to help progress applications from decision in principle through to offer, helping ensure cases continue to move through the application process seamlessly.

Landbay said the team will also engage with brokers who may not have recently worked with the lender, to understand their businesses, lending requirements and the challenges they face in the specialist mortgage market.

Jon has worked at Landbay for more than six years, having joined as an account manager in 2020 before becoming a BDM in 2022. Prior to Landbay, he held sales, account management and business development roles at Royal London and Aviva.

In addition to Jon, the team includes Joe Newton, Varshan Subaskaran, Salma Betioui, Stephen Abolade and Ross Laurie, who have all joined as telephone sales support.

Rob Stanton, sales and distribution director at Landbay, said: “As business volumes have grown, it has become increasingly important we continue to invest in the people, processes and support structures that help brokers place cases with confidence. Our new telephone sales team has therefore been created to complement the work of our field and internal sales teams, providing brokers with additional support throughout the application journey.

“Jon brings strong specialist mortgage experience to the role and understands Landbay as a lender, and what brokers need from us. By helping manage pipelines, keeping in regular contact and identifying potential issues early, the team will play an important role in supporting speed, efficiency and certainty from DIP through to offer, while reinforcing our focus on service, choice and practical support across the buy-to-let market.”

Jon Braddick, telephone sales manager at Landbay, added: “Having worked closely with brokers across the specialist buy-to-let market, I know how important clear communication and proactive support can be in helping cases move forward. The new team has been built to add further capacity and provide brokers with knowledgeable, practical support throughout the application process as our target market continues to broaden.”
