Masthaven Finance has bolstered its business development team with the appointments of Tony Grillo as senior business development manager and Gary Melville as internal business development manager.

Tony joins from Together, where he held a senior BDM position. With more than two decades of experience in relationship management and specialist lending, Tony will focus on broadening Masthaven’s presence in the market, developing new broker relationships and enhancing its existing partnerships.

Gary Melville takes on the newly introduced role of internal BDM and joins from West One Loans. In his new role, he will help Masthaven support more brokers in accessing specialist finance solutions more efficiently.

Tony and Gary will work alongside current senior BDM, Ginny Warby.

Masthaven returned to the market earlier this year after Spring Finance's chief executive and owner, Andrew Bloom, acquired the lender. Andrew was the founder, majority shareholder and chief executive of Masthaven Group and Masthaven Bank from 2005 to 2020, when he sold his controlling stake and stepped down as chief executive, before purchasing Spring Finance in October 2021.

Jim Baker (pictured), sales director for bridging and development at Masthaven Finance, commented: “It’s been a really exciting year for Masthaven so far, and it’s fantastic to see momentum building across the business. I’m especially proud of how our sales team is evolving as Tony and Gary bring a huge amount of experience and insight to their new roles, and I’m genuinely pleased to see them progressing their careers with us.

“With a strong team in place, we’re well positioned to deliver on our future plans and continue growing in the months ahead.”
