Metro Bank has announced new hires across its specialist mortgage business to support intermediary relationships and lending growth.

Charles Morley, previously Metro Bank’s director of mortgage distribution, will also look after mortgage operations and servicing going forwards as director of mortgage distribution, operations and servicing. His promotion brings the entire end-to-end customer journey from initial enquiry through to completion and redemption under one single team and reporting line.

Under Metro Bank’s business development team led by Joanne Hollins, head of intermediary and direct mortgages, Neil McLeod has been promoted to the role of national key account manager. Formerly regional sales manager, Neil joined the bank in 2018 and has close to 20 years financial services experience. Neil will work closely with key networks and clubs to develop and strengthen existing and new partnerships.

Dean Linklater will take on the role of regional sales manager for the North of England. Dean has more than 20 years’ experience across mortgages and specialist lending with a particular understanding of the needs and dynamics of the intermediary market in the north of England.

In addition, Nicola Moore and Emma Dudley have joined in the roles of BDM and telephone BDM respectively. Nicola joins from 3 Sixty Financial Solutions and has over 10 years of mortgage industry experience. Nicola will be focused on developing new and existing intermediary relationships across Yorkshire and the North East. Emma joins after five years with Coastway Financial as a self-employed mortgage and protection broker. Her new role will specialise in remote relationship management, providing day to day support and expertise for mortgage intermediaries.

Charles Morley commented: “Our mortgage team is focused on building strong relationships and delivering for our clients. We’re able to provide a complete, end-to-end customer journey, combined with a shared commitment for excellent service and delivery at every point.”

Joanne Hollins, head of intermediary and direct mortgages, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Nicola and Emma to the team, and Dean and Neil on their new roles supporting broker relationships, allowing brokers to manage complexity with confidence on behalf of their customers.”
