NatWest increases residential rates by up to 0.21%

The rate increases take the lowest five-year fixed rates back above 4%.

NatWest has announced a series of rate increases across its residential purchase and remortgage ranges for both new and existing customers.

In its core residential range, two-year rates have increased by 10bps and now start from 4.54% at 60% LTV with a £1,495 fee. At 90% LTV, rates are back above 5%, starting at 5.08%, while a 95% LTV product has increased to 5.99%.

Two-year fixed rate remortgage products have increased by between 5 and 15bps, with the lowest 60% LTV rate now at 4.58%. The largest increases are at higher LTVs, with 85% LTV products now starting from 5.43% and 90% LTV rates from 5.75%.

Five-year fixed rate purchase products have increased by up to 20bps, with the largest increases at 60% LTV, now starting from 4.14%.

Five-year remortgage products have increased by up to 21bps, with the largest reductions again at lower LTVs, with the lowest 60% LTV rate increasing from 3.99% to 4.20%.

First-time buyer two and five-year fixed rates have increased by up to 11bps, with shared equity and Help to Buy rates rising by up to 21bps.

Green mortgages have also increased by up to 21bps, with the largest rises across five-year fixed rate purchase and remortgage products at 60% LTV.

For existing customers, residential two and five-year rate switcher products have increased by between 3-10bps.
