Added to Lender Panel

The Openwork Partnership has added April Mortgages to its mortgage lending panel, giving advisers access to the lender's five, 10 and 15-year fixed rate products.

April Mortgages provides fixed rates that reduce automatically as the loan-to-value falls through the term. Every mortgage includes unlimited overpayments, no early repayment charges when clients move home or repay from their own funds, and lending of up to seven times income.

Paul Shearman, mortgage and protection proposition director at The Openwork Partnership, said: “April Mortgages brings a fresh and innovative proposition to the market, offering a blend of certainty and flexibility that will appeal to a wide range of borrowers. Their proposition will be hugely well received by our advisers and builds on the other recent additions to the panel, which together further expand the breadth of lender choice available to our advisers and the clients they support.”

Mark Eaton, chief operating officer at April Mortgages, commented: “We’re delighted to be partnering with The Openwork Partnership as we continue to grow our distribution. April has built a reputation for challenging the conventions of the mortgage market and finding new ways to help borrowers. We’re giving advisers more ways to help clients where traditional lending can fall short. The Openwork Partnership has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice, and we’re excited to put our proposition in the hands of even more advisers and help more people buy, and keep, their home.”

Michael Brown, head of business development at April Mortgages, added: “The Openwork Partnership is a significant addition to April’s distribution and gives us a fantastic opportunity to introduce April to thousands more advisors across the UK. Our focus now is on making that access count. We want Openwork advisers to understand where April can make a real difference: whether that’s a client who needs stronger affordability, a first-time buyer struggling with the deposit hurdle, or simply a case where a more flexible approach could create a better outcome.”
