April Mortgages has strengthened its distribution capability with a trio of new appointments to support growth in 2026.
Lewis Chinyou-Robinson has been appointed national account manager, taking responsibility for deepening partnerships with key distributors and driving service levels. Lewis joined April in December 2024 within the operations team.
Lewis Chinyou-Robinson said: “It’s been a brilliant year working alongside such a driven, forward-thinking team. April is doing things differently and that really resonates with advisers. As we look ahead to 2026, my focus is on building even stronger distributor partnerships and making sure advisers get the service, clarity and support they need to grow their business. With the momentum we have and the ambition across the team, we are only just getting started.”
In addition, Lucy Hughes and Mark Brown have joined as telephone business development managers, expanding April’s adviser support function and boosting its capacity to provide quick, expert guidance on cases.
Lucy Hughes commented: “It’s so exciting to be part of a lender that’s bold, ambitious, and committed to modernising the market. I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with advisers and helping them to help others get onto the property ladder who otherwise thought it wasn't possible.”
Mark Brown added: “Working alongside the team at April has been an exceptional experience. April’s fresh approach to mortgages is both refreshing and inspiring. Delivering a bold, distinctive message to advisors is a career highlight and moving into this new role, I’m excited to continue challenging convention and championing a new way of thinking for advisers across the market.”
Rachael Hunnisett, director of mortgage distribution at April Mortgages, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team we are building at April Mortgages. We provide mortgage advisers with exceptional service from end-to-end and these key appointments will enable us to go even further as we strive to be the best mortgage lender. We are unapologetic in our approach to modernising the UK lending landscape and, with the help of our talented distribution team, I cannot wait to welcome in another record-breaking year of innovation, helping people to buy and keep their homes at every stage of life. It’s a big year ahead and we can’t wait to get stuck in!”
The newly appointed TBDMs will report directly into Lou Blair, head of underwriting, who said: “Continuity of service is essential to building a reputable mortgage brand, our telephone team are highly skilled and experts in their field, by structuring the team to work closely with myself and our underwriting team, we are able to streamline enquiries and deliver on our commitment to modern, flexible lending. 2026 is an ambitious growth year for us, we hold ourselves to exceptionally high service standards and appointment of the telephone BDMs allows us to continue to surprise and delight advisors as we scale.”
