Co-op's Platform temporarily withdraws range

Platform, the intermediary mortgage brand of Co-operative Bank, has temporarily withdrawn its new business range.

Platform says that due to high demand for its mortgage products, it withdrew its range on Thursday the 11th August.

On Monday 15th August, Platform plans to relaunch its mainstream and buy-to-let mortgage ranges for both new business and product switching.

Several lenders have temporarily paused new mortgage lending in the past two weeks due to unprecedented demand.

Suffolk and Saffron building societies have both suspended new mortgage applications in the past week due to high volume levels.
