Peter Brodnicki Awards MAB
"Winning an award is recognition of the hard work everybody has put into the business. "

Why was winning a Financial Reporter Award important for MAB?

Winning an award is recognition of the hard work everybody has put into the business. The award is never about individual but about the team behind them, and so its gives the whole business a boost, and its also great for our customers to know we are an award winning business.

What has changed for your business since 2015?

2015 was our first year as a stock market listed business, and the last four years have seen MAB double in size.

Our biggest achievement in that time I believe to be the exceptionally high caliber of senior team appointments we have made to strengthen the business further. As a result we have never been better positioned to handle the challenges and opportunities that a tech led change in the intermediary landscape will bring.

What do you think has been the best development in the industry since 2015?

Although we have not seen the benefits yet, the best development has been the appreciation of how technology can significantly improve the customer and broker experience, and the investment currently being made to make that a reality.

What advice would you give a business hoping to scoop an award this year?

Get your whole business and business contacts to embrace the awards, promote the strengths of your business to help secure the votes you need. Many people may hugely respect what you have achieved but may need a nudge to vote as everybody is so busy!

If you could pick one song to play at the Financial Reporter Awards party, what would it be?

Cheers (Drink to That) by Rihanna!
