Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries has announced four internal promotions within its sales and distribution team, strengthening support for brokers across both its telephone and field-based services.

The promotions span a range of roles, including new leadership responsibilities and expanded regional coverage.

Lizzie Atkins has been promoted from internal sales team leader to sales team manager, taking on full oversight of both the telephony team and broker assist team.

With several years of experience at the Society, she has played a key role in delivering consistent service to brokers and will now lead the day-to-day management and development of the internal sales function.

Sophie Hancock, formerly a telephone business development manager (TBDM), has stepped into a new role as field business development manager for the South.

Sophie will focus on broker engagement and relationship management across the southern region, offering face-to-face support to help brokers navigate more complex cases and criteria.

Lauren Bayliss, also a former TBDM, has been appointed senior TBDM. In her new role, Lauren will continue to provide telephone-based support while taking on added responsibilities within the team. Reporting into the new sales team manager, Lizzie Atkins, she will focus on driving service standards and mentoring newer team members.

Robin Thira has moved from a business development assistant role into a new position as a TBDM, becoming a full member of the Society’s telephony-based intermediary support team. Robin will work directly with brokers to support mortgage enquiries and find suitable solutions for a range of client needs.

Laura Sneddon, head of mortgage sales and distribution at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, said: “Our sales team is central to the service we provide to brokers. These promotions are a reflection of the hard work and talent we’re fortunate to have within the team, and each individual has shown real desire to support our intermediary partners, and it’s brilliant to see them taking the next step in their careers.

“As we continue to grow and adapt to the market, making sure we have the right people in the right roles is key. These changes will help us continue delivering the personal, knowledgeable support that brokers value.”
