The pilot began yesterday with a wider roll out planned throughout next year. It marks the bank's return to the broker market after five years, when it stopped selling products through its former subsidiary Bristol & West.
Alison Pallett, Bank of Ireland UK Mortgages director of sales, says:
“I’m delighted to announce that the Bank is taking its first steps back into the UK intermediary mortgage market under its own brand. This is in addition to the successful launches earlier in the year in Northern Ireland and Post Office in the UK.
“We aim to offer intermediaries greater choice for their customers, including mover, first-time buyer, refinancing and buy-to-let products.”
The bank offers mortgages under the Post Office brand which launched its product range to brokers at the beginning of June.
