From the 1st of April Halifax's head of intermediaries, Ian Wilson, will take on responsibility for all of Lloyds Banking Group’s intermediary relationships in residential lending, covering both the Halifax Intermediaries and Scottish Widows Bank brands.

Additionally, Claire Scott has been appointed to the newly created role of head of business development for Scottish Widows Bank.

Finally, Chris Molyneux has been appointed as regional manager for Halifax Intermediaries covering the North and Central regions.

Ian Wilson said: “These changes will help us to be in the best shape to support the intermediary residential market by making it easier for brokers to do business with us. We are also expanding TBDM teams across both brands as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering service that brings real value for intermediaries and their clients.”

Mike Jones, managing director of intermediaries and specialist brands at Lloyds Banking Group, added: “Following consistent growth in Scottish Widows Bank and the continued strong market presence of Halifax Intermediaries, these appointments will better align the residential mortgage intermediary business to help focus on building on its success to date.”
