"Our investment in this new platform shows our commitment to future improvements to benefit both our members and intermediary partners."

The mortgage sales and originations (MSO) platform from IRESS will automate and streamline internal processes, removing the need for re-keying data. Brokers will be able to track cases more easily and only products their clients are eligible for will be displayed.

To integrate with existing systems, the platform’s introduction will be phased with testing over the coming months so the full platform can be fully operational next year.

Martese Carton, head of intermediary distribution at Leeds, said: “We’re delighted to be working with IRESS to launch our new technology platform, which will allow us to deliver a superior experience and more efficient service.

“Innovation continues to play a key part in our success as a lender and our investment in this new platform shows our commitment to future improvements to benefit both our members and intermediary partners.”

Paul Thornton, executive general manager of lending at IRESS, added: “As the mortgage market continues to evolve at pace, progressive lenders such as Leeds Building Society are looking at their technology platforms to ensure they can compete.

“Developments such as open banking and increasing consumer demands for connectivity across the value chain and smoother engagements are driving change and it’s vital lenders can meet these expectations.

“IRESS MSO will provide Leeds Building Society with a flexible solution for meeting these customer demands aligned with overall improved efficiency."
