Santander announce new HTB deals and rate cuts

Santander has announced that from tomorrow it is reducing interest rates on its residential purchase and remortgage products by up to 0.2%.

The lender also revealed that it will add two new Help to Buy deals, exclusively for first-time buyers which carry with no product fee and include free valuation and £500 cashback. The new deals will be available at 75% LTV, the two-year deal at 1.85% and the five year product at 1.99%.

Five deals as part of its standard remortgage and purchase range have had rates reduced at 60% and 75% LTVs. The five-year fix at 60% LTV carrying a £999 product fee has been trimmed by 0.16% to 1.49%, while the ten-year fix at 75% LTV with £999 product fee has been cut by 0.15% to 2.34%.

Four large loan products, for purchase and remortgage up to £3m, have also had their rates cut including a 60% LTV five-year fix with £2,499 product fee which has been cut by 0.2% to 1.69%.

Santander also revealed that it has increased rates on two of its 95% LTV fixes by 0.1%– with the two-year version rising to 2.99% and the five-year up to 3.34%.
