Recognise Bank has appointed Ronelle Arbib as chief revenue and operations officer.
In the newly created role, Arbib will bring together the Bank’s lending and savings, operations, product and marketing functions.
The new structure is designed to enable Recognise Bank to identify and respond to market opportunities more quickly, from developing new products and entering new markets and channels through to origination, completion and ongoing customer management.
In particular, the Bank says it wants to capture further opportunities across the UK SME lending market.
Arbib has been with Recognise Bank for six years and has played a key role in its development from its early stages. She joined as head of customer experience in 2020 before becoming chief operating officer in 2022, with responsibility across the Bank’s operational and technology functions.
Simon Bateman, CEO of Recognise Bank, said: “Ronelle has played an important role in Recognise Bank’s development over the last six years and has a strong understanding of our customers and how the Bank operates. Her appointment as chief revenue and operations officer is a natural next step as we position the Bank for further growth.
“Bringing lending and savings, operations, product and marketing together will give us clearer accountability across the customer and commercial journey, helping us move faster and respond to new opportunities."
Ronelle Arbib commented: “Having been part of Recognise Bank’s journey for the past six years, I’m delighted to take on this new role as we enter the next stage of our growth.
“Bringing these functions together gives us the opportunity to look at the customer and commercial journey from end to end, from identifying what our brokers and customers need and developing the right products, through to origination, completion and ongoing support.
“Our focus will be on making it easier and quicker to do business with Recognise, while retaining the practical, relationship-led approach that has been central to the Bank’s success. We have a significant opportunity ahead of us and I’m looking forward to working with teams across the Bank to build on the progress we have already made.”
