Santander launches new mortgage rates from 3.55% in latest round of cuts

Santander has announced its third round of mortgage rate reductions this month.

Santander is reducing residential and buy-to-let fixed rates across its new business and product transfer ranges by up to 0.29%. The move marks the third time the lender has reduced interest rates this month, with new rates for home movers starting from 3.55%. 

Available from tomorrow, the newly reduced rates are available to customers applying via broker or directly, under Santander’s ‘no dual pricing’ pledge. 

For home movers, all two-year fixed rates have reduced up to 0.14%, now starting from 3.55%, while three-year fixes have reduced by up to 0.29%, starting from 3.60%, and five-year rates are now available from 3.76%.

For first-time buyers, the cheapest two-year fixed rate now starts from 4.28%, with five-year rates starting from 4.24%.

The cheapest remortgage rate is now 3.62%, with three and five-year rates starting from 3.80%.

In Santander's buy-to-let range, rates have reduced by up to 0.18%. Available for purchase, two-year fixed rates now start from 3.80% and five-year fixes from 4.01%, while remortgage rates have reduced to 3.77% fixed for two years and 3.94% fixed for five years.
