"Building strong relationships with brokers has always been a key focus for me, and I’m passionate about helping them find the right solutions for their customers."
- Gemma Davies - Kensington Mortgages
Kensington Mortgages has appointed two Business Development Managers (BDMs) to support its regional broker network across the UK specialist mortgage market.
Gemma Davies has joined as BDM for Kensington’s Central West region, covering most of Wales, Shrewsbury, Birmingham and as far east as Coventry, while Paul Dodimead has joined as BDM for the East region, covering Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Colchester and as far south as Romford.
Paul replaces James Burwood, who was recently promoted internally to national account manager. Both Gemma and Paul will report to Phillip Pinson, regional sales manager – North.
Gemma brings over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, having worked across banking, estate agencies and brokerages before moving into business development. She joins Kensington from Melton Building Society, where she progressed into a BDM role during her time at the lender.
Paul joins Kensington with more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, including senior BDM positions at Scottish Widows, Halifax and Coventry Building Society. He has also worked as a mortgage adviser.
In their new roles, Gemma and Paul will work closely with brokers across their regions, supporting them with specialist lending opportunities, complex case enquiries and education around Kensington’s product offering.
Gemma Davies said: "Joining Kensington is an exciting opportunity and I’m looking forward to being part of such a well-established and supportive team. Building strong relationships with brokers has always been a key focus for me, and I’m passionate about helping them find the right solutions for their customers."
Paul Dodimead added: "Kensington has built a strong reputation as an innovative specialist lender, and I’m delighted to be joining the business. I’m looking forward to supporting brokers across the East region and helping them navigate the specialist mortgage market with confidence."
Jane Atkins, head of intermediary sales at Kensington Mortgages, said: "We are delighted to welcome Gemma and Paul to Kensington. They both bring a wealth of experience from across the mortgage and financial services sector, alongside a strong understanding of the needs of brokers and their customers.
"Our field sales team plays a vital role in supporting intermediaries across the UK, and these appointments further strengthen our ability to deliver expert guidance, education and relationship-led support in key regions."
