He will be responsible for mortgage book growth and intermediary relations, continuing to help brokers find mortgage solutions for their clients.
Dougan joined the Vernon in 2021 as intermediary desk adviser and prior to that was a mortgage adviser for six years.
Dougan said: “I’m thrilled to be taking up this role with the Vernon and continuing to work in the Society’s fantastic intermediary mortgage team.
“We’re committed to supporting brokers and put intermediaries at the centre of our strategy.
“Now I can’t wait to get started in my new role and get out and about meeting our broker partners.”
